Milano Marittima – seven reasons to visit
THE BEACH
The beach in Milano Marittima is one of the liveliest and most ‘in’ beaches on the Romagna Riviera.
It has two sides to its personality. Loved, on the one hand, by families and relaxation-seekers, it is also hugely popular with those looking for fun.
EATING
In Romagna, preparing good food is a sacred art.
Visitors can treat themselves to an assortment of traditional and innovative dishes, trying out everything from the local piadina (flatbread) to sushi, from ethnic offerings to haute cuisine.
LOCAL SIGHTSEEING AND EXCURSIONS
Apart from the beach, there are endless opportunities to enjoy nature in the surrounding area.
A walk in the pine wood, a guided tour of the Cervia salt pans, or an excursion by motorboat or canoe. If, on the other hand, you are passionate about culture and history, the town of Ravenna, with its numerous UNESCO World Heritage Sites, is only 20 km away.
CERVIA HOT SPRINGS
An oasis of rest and relaxation, just down the road.
Immersed in the centuries-old pine wood near the town’s nature park, Cervia Hot Springs offer visitors the chance to spend a few hours regenerating their body and mind. Together with the saline water, the facility uses “liman”, or lagoon mud, extracted from the nearby salt pans, which offers health-enriching properties.
MIRABILANDIA
Just 10 km away from us is one of the largest amusement parks in Italy.
Suitable for all ages, you’ll never get bored at Mirabilandia! This fun park offers so much, you’re bound to have a wonderful, fun-filled day.
SHOPPING
A unique experience in Milano Marittima
The go-to shopping street in the town is Viale Matteotti. A wide avenue leading directly to Piazzale Primo Maggio, its greenery and flowers are the perfect backdrop for the street’s stylish window displays. All the roads that cross this main street are packed with bars, restaurants, and … more shops. A stroll through this area has to be included in the ‘must-do’s in Milano Marittima.
Words alone can’t do it justice, you have to go there!
NIGHTLIFE
From sunset to dawn, Milano Marittima will draw you into its atmosphere.
Start off with sundowners at happy hour and then dance ‘til you drop at one of its two famous clubs.
The biggest of these two venues is the Pineta by Visionarie, an institution for clubbers all over, where you’re also likely to spot well known faces from the world of sport and entertainment.
The other option is the exclusive Villa Papeete, a more informal haunt for younger clubgoers.
